Certificates: issue, fresh copy and revoke

Every certificate the Council issues is listed here, with its QR code. Download a copy, issue a fresh copy after a correction, or revoke one.

Certificates are normally made automatically: on indexing, on registration approval and on PIN renewal (the annual licence). Use this page for copies, corrections and special cases. Every certificate is digitally signed by the Council: its QR code carries the certificate’s details and the Council’s signature.

Step by step

  1. In the left menu, choose Certificates.
  2. Search by name, certificate number or registration number. Filter by type (All types) or state (Valid, Expired, Revoked).
  3. To download a digital copy, press the download button (Download PDF) on the row.
  4. To issue one by hand, press Issue certificate:
    • Pick the professional.
    • Choose the Certificate type.
    • Set Valid until, or leave it empty for a certificate with no end date.
    • Press Issue.
  5. After correcting a name or detail, press the Issue a fresh copy button on the row, then Issue fresh copy. The old certificate stops being valid.
  6. To withdraw one, press the red Revoke button, type the reason and press Revoke.

How anyone checks a certificate

Anyone can scan the QR code with a phone. The public check page shows the holder and whether the certificate is valid, and a Digital signature box:

  • Genuine — signed by the Allied Health Professional Council: the details are exactly as the Council issued them.
  • Not genuine — the details have changed: someone altered the certificate or its link.
  • Not genuine: the link wasn’t made by the Council.

Because the signature is in the QR code, it can be checked even without internet, using the Council’s published key shown on the check page. A failed check is recorded with the result Not genuine in the Verification lists.

What you will see

  • Types: Provisional registration, Temporary registration, Permanent registration, Annual licence, Internship and Indexing.
  • A revoked certificate shows its reason under the state.
