How questions performed
After a sitting, see which questions were too easy, too hard, or may have the wrong answer marked.
What you will learn
- Open the question analysis
- Read “Got it right” and “Tells strong from weak”
- Act on the verdicts
Step by step
- Open the exam and choose the How questions performed tab. Figures appear once candidates have finished a sitting.
- Read each row:
- Got it right: the share of candidates who answered correctly.
- Tells strong from weak: higher when candidates who did well overall got this one right more often.
- Answers chosen: how many picked each option.
- Look at the Verdict:
- Working well: separates strong and weak candidates.
- Too easy: almost everyone got it right.
- Too hard: very few got it right.
- Check the answer: strong candidates often got it “wrong”, so the marked answer may be wrong.
- Fix or retire weak questions in the Question bank.
